Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of PDFTape, including the free browser app and the Mac application (the “Service”). PDFTape is operated by an independent developer based in Cambodia, reachable at support@pdftape.com. By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

The Service

The browser app is free to use. The Mac app is available through the Apple Mac App Store. Both process your files locally on your device.

Mac App Store edition

If you obtained the Mac app from the Apple Mac App Store, your use is governed by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the Apple Standard EULA) together with these Terms; where they conflict, the Apple Standard EULA controls. Purchases and any in-app purchases there are processed by Apple, and refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's policies — not by us.

What you may not do

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code, except to the extent the law expressly permits.
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
  • Circumvent any usage limits, or remove proprietary notices.

Your content

You retain all rights to the files you process. Because processing happens on your device, we do not access or claim any rights over your content.

Intellectual property

The Service, including its software and branding, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms grant you a license to use it, not ownership of it.

Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose. Always keep backups of important files.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Cambodia, without regard to conflict of law rules.

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
