What's new.

• Document setup (Pro) — scale a whole document to a standard paper size: A4, A5, Letter, or Legal. Right-click any page (or open its ••• menu) and choose "Document Setup…", pick a size and orientation, and every page is fitted and centered onto that size when you save one PDF, split into separate PDFs, or print. Orientation "Auto" matches each page's own layout; rotated pages still come out at the chosen size.
• The resize is non-destructive and lossless: page content stays vector (no rasterizing), links and form fields move with the scaled content, and choosing "Original" brings every page back to its own size at any time.
• Document setup works together with crops and rotation — a cropped page is fitted by its visible area — and it's part of your saved work: it survives closing and reopening a workspace, and undo/redo covers it like any other edit. Image exports (PNG/JPEG) keep their rendered size; paper sizes apply to PDF output and printing.
• Crop pages (Pro) — trim a page down to just the part you need. Right-click a page (or open its ••• menu) and choose "Crop Page…", then drag the handles over a live preview. The crop is applied when you save, export images, or print, and it's non-destructive: "Remove Crop" brings the full page back at any time. Crops are part of your saved work — they survive closing and reopening a workspace, and undo/redo covers them like any other page edit.
• Crop works on image pages too — photos and screenshots can now be cropped just like PDF pages, with the same drag-handle editor, thumbnail preview, and non-destructive "Remove Crop". The crop applies when saving PDFs, converting to images, and printing.
• A pro-grade crop editor — buttery-smooth dragging, a rule-of-thirds grid while you drag, aspect-ratio presets (Free / Original / 1:1 / 4:3 / 16:9), drawing a fresh crop anywhere on the page, corner-bracket handles, arrow-key nudging (Shift for bigger steps), Enter to apply, and a live size readout.
• Cropped pages preview exactly as they'll export — thumbnails, the pages panel, and the reading view all show just the kept region (crisp, at full slot size) instead of dimming the trimmed area. Removing the crop snaps the full page back instantly.
• Document Setup now lives in the title bar next to Export (it's a whole-document setting), and its dialog got a cleaner segmented design.
• Quick actions on staged files — hover a file on the Home screen for one-click Crop (lands straight in the crop editor), Rotate (single-page files), View, and Remove; the header adds Document Setup next to Edit. Edit now shows for single-page files too — a lone screenshot or one-page PDF previously had no path into the editor at all.

• Compress PDF (Pro) — shrink a PDF, or merge several and shrink the result, right on your Mac. It's most effective on image-heavy or scanned documents; the result tells you how much smaller it got, or says "already optimized" when there's nothing left to save (so a text-only PDF is never needlessly rewritten).
• Compression runs fully on-device and stays light on memory — it processes one image at a time, so even large scanned files won't spike memory use.

A lot has landed since the last direct-download release (1.0.4): Exporting & Show in Finder

• "Show in Finder" now reliably reveals the file you just exported — including when you save into an iCloud-synced folder such as Desktop, where it used to select the folder instead of the file.
• Saving a zip (split or images) reveals the .zip itself, and PDFTape remembers the folder you last exported to and starts there next time.
• HEIC/HEIF photos (the default iPhone format) open and convert reliably, with correct orientation and true-to-life color — and the app is smaller and starts faster.
• Page counts stay correct for image and mixed file sets.
• New privacy controls: turn off activity recording so your edits, recent files, and saved files aren't kept. Clearer labels make it obvious what each does.
• Manage your export history — remove individual saved files or clear them all.
• Pro now unlocks the page editor (reorder, rotate, and remove pages) and lifts the free file limit. Merging, splitting, and converting stay free.
