Overview

PDFTape can split a PDF in three ways: extract only the pages you select, pull out a continuous page range, or split every page into its own file. Like every PDFTape operation, splitting happens on your device.

  • Extract selected pages into one PDF.
  • Split a range such as pages 3-7.
  • Split every page into individual PDFs.
  1. 1

    Open the Split tool

Open PDFTape in your browser or launch the Mac app. Click Split, then select the PDF you want to divide.

    Step 1
Choose Split from the home screen
  2. 2

    Choose a split mode

Select the mode that matches what you need:

    • Selected pages — keep only the pages you tick.
    • Page range — extract a contiguous range such as 3-7.
    • Every page — create one PDF per page.
    Step 2
Pick how you want to divide the PDF
  3. 3

    Select the pages

Tick the thumbnails you want to keep, or type the page range into the input field. The preview updates so you can confirm exactly what will be exported.

    Step 3
Tick thumbnails or type a range
  4. 4

    Export the new files

Click Split PDF. Browser users receive a ZIP when multiple files are created; Mac users pick a destination folder and filename pattern.

    Step 4
    Save the split PDFs
Tip: Splitting every page is useful when you need to email or archive pages individually. The original PDF is never modified.
